Kip McGrath Education Centres Board of Directors

Our Board members hail from high-level corporate and education backgrounds and include family members who founded the company in 1974.

Mr Glenn Turner

Glenn Turner has joined the Board after a 30 year career in industry, the last 11 years as Managing Director of Ludowici Limited, a public Australian company. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Companion of the Institute of Engineers Australia.

He is currently Deputy Chairman of TUNRA Ltd, the commercial arm of the University of Newcastle and a Director of the Hunter Medical Research Institute.

Mr Kip McGrath

Kip McGrath co-founded the first Kip McGrath Education Centre in 1974 and has been a Board member since the company was incorporated in 1987. Today, he is responsible for strategic planning and our ‘Train the Trainer’ programs.

Mr Storm McGrath

Storm McGrath holds a Master of Business Administration, was formerly a director of Newcastle Plastics and has been a Board member of Kip McGrath Education Centres since 1997. Storm is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations and business development including selling new franchises and master franchises.

 

Executive Director
Mrs Dugnija McGrath

Dugnija McGrath is Kip McGrath’s Education Director and has been a member of the Board since the company was incorporated in 1987. Dugnija co-founded the company with her husband Kip. Today she focuses on the development of new curriculum for the Australian and overseas markets.

 

Independent Non-Executive Director
Mr Michael Seamer

Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (1st class honours) and was a Dean’s Medal winner at the University of Newcastle.  After twelve years as a manager in large Chartered accounting firms in Perth and Newcastle, Michael commenced a career in academia at the University of Newcastle.  He currently lectures taxation and accounting and is nearing the completion of a PHD researching corporate governance.  Michael has extensive experience in taxation, accounting and corporate governance and has advised large corporations, Federal parliamentarians and contributed widely to national media and professional publications.
